My Sarah,
I love our mornings—the half-finished conversations, the coffee going cold, and the way you somehow remember the thing I said I was worried about three days ago. You notice me, even when I’m trying not to be noticed.
We’ve had days when loving each other was easy, and days when it meant taking a breath, staying in the room, and trying again. I’m grateful for both. They made us more than a good beginning; they made us a life.
If I could keep one ordinary moment forever, it wouldn’t be a holiday or a photograph. It would be you beside me at the end of a long day, telling me something small, while I quietly realize all over again how lucky I am that I get to come home to you.
Daniel
